Here is what past attendees have said. . .

I attended your workshop yesterday and today I tried some of the visual strategies with a few of my students.  All I can say is WOW!!!  I had already been using visuals for their schedule but I extended the concept to using them for getting their attention and eliminating confusion and rewarding them.  It was amazing!!  I also had our social skills teacher do a social story with one of my high functioning PDD boys about saying nice things about girls (He’s been saying terrible things to one of the little girls in m class – and he’s only 8.)  It worked!!  The teacher was amazed how focused and engaged he was!  Thanks for all you do.

Thanks, Linda, for a most informative workshop today in King of Prussia! I already use tons of visual supports but came away from your presentation with new ideas for both materials and implementation strategies that I can use with my students.

I had the pleasure of attending the 2-day workshop in Portland, Maine and I want to say that it was one of the BEST I've been too -- not bad for someone who's been in the field for almost 20 years!!  The information provided made me see a perspective I'd known about but really hadn't understood as I should. Thank you. You've changed how I do therapy and much of my consultation model.
Dani Eichenlaub, M.A., CCC-SLP

Linda - Just wanted to let you know that one of the kindergarten teachers I work with here in Maryland went to your workshop last week and came back raving!  I was visiting in her classroom yesterday.  When she described the workshop, I said it sound like Linda Hodgdon. She said, YES!  She said that your session really confirmed that the things we had been working on together over the past few years with her challenging students (not all on autism spectrum) are the way to go.  So thanks for the affirmation for me through your work!
Mary Barbera

Linda, you are an accomplished presenter.  Everybody gained something from these 2 days; most of us gained a lot!  I felt and heard the excitement of implementing these strategies.  Thank you!” - Speech Pathologist

“Sure hope I can encourage others to attend future workshops.  Please come back to this area SOON.  Thank you so much for putting this knowledge into a bit of a different framework.  You’ve given me some great ideas of ways to help my teachers sort through the areas they are stuck in.” – Speech Pathologist

This workshop truly motivated me to make visual prompts more efficient for my students.  I found Linda Hodgdon to be a joy to listen to both days.  She has a positive, functional way or philosophy.  We are in dire need of this approach in education.  Thanks for presenting ideas that reflect “out of the box” kind of thinking.” – Speech Pathologist
