This program will define the student's social & behavioral needs, discuss training, and demonstrate many practical ideas for school, home and community.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognize situations where communication breakdowns can affect the student’s behavior and participation in social opportunities.
  • Use the Guide for Assessing Behavior Situations to informally identify causes of behavior and social problems
  • Identify uses for a range of low tech to high tech tools such as iPads, apps
    and video for helping students achieve independence and success in their
    life routines and experiences

Linda Hodgdon

Linda Hodgdon, CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is internationally known as a pioneer in developing the use of visual strategies to support communication for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders or related learning needs. In this program, Linda shares some of her simple, practical strategies to help students achieve success in their life opportunities.
